Interior architecture and decoration for a restaurant and a beach club in Nice - France

Philippe and Serge’s brief was easy: "find a way to reconcile Nice inhabitants with eating on the beach".

We decided to infuse some kind of a resort feeling to the place, something that’s always perfectly done in the United States, for the evening clientele. In the meantime, I wanted to keep the decoration refined and still a bit "dressed up" for the lunch clientele. We gave up on the "chapeau de paille" feeling while bringing back elegance with navy blue china displayed on glossy varnish on tables. Being on the “côte d’Azur” we had to nod to French Riviera traditions with the wooden persiennes rhythm providing the very welcomed shade around the restaurant in the summer…

The beach club was full all summer for his first season, fingers crossed it stays that way !
